HoudahSpot - Powerful search software
My review of HoudahSpot as seen on MacZOT.com
-- I have used Houdah spot and I can say it is an awesome and powerful piece of software. I especially like the command line enhancement to allow HoudahSpot to search emails. Type in the terminal command line: defaults write com.houdah.houdahSpot enableDefaultExcludes -bool NO. I was able to crash this program. I don't know what I did but the crash reporting tool seemed to work well the next time I started the program. Also, I was able to find and easily delete 233 ogg vorbis files I never listened to from my hard drive. I wanted to compare it to spotlight so I searched for .ogg and found the same files, but I wasn't able to delete them in batch like I DID with HoudahSpot! --
